Head of School Paul Atkins commented: “We are delighted that our students have again secured places on a wide range of very competitive university places of their choice. This includes students who have won places at Oxbridge to study natural sciences, history and mathematics. This continues the brilliant upward trend of results at Post 16. Everyone deserves congratulations for their commitment and energy as they worked with the new reformed A Levels. It was fantastic seeing students, staff and parents at school this morning sharing this success. I wish everyone the best of luck as they move onto some exciting opportunities.”
The sixth form has seen significant growth and success as a specialist A level centre in recent years. We are looking forward to welcoming a record number of students into Year 12 in September. Any late applicants should contact admissions to find out about availability of some courses.
Head of School Paul Atkins commented: "Students and staff are to be congratulated for another set of excellent GCSE results. One fifth of all students achieved at least eight GCSE grades at A/A* and 7-9. Results in English were outstanding with ten students achieving the new 9 grade, as they also did in mathematics. 85% of students achieved 4 or higher in both English and Maths. In our specialism, 59% of all music results are A* or A grades. I wish all of our students the very best of luck as they progress to Post 16 here or at other institutions."
