PE & Games

At BCCS, our PE Curriculum is based on the multi-abilities model. We focus on aspects of social and personal skills as well as health and fitness skills.

Key Stage 3

Our Physical Education programmes offer measurable improvements to learners' skills for learning which impact directly on their attainment. Utilising Create Development's Cogs of Learning (personal, social, creative and cognitive skills), our programmes offer support and expertise for all learners to develop outstanding learning skills and behaviours.

We aim to accelerate learning, development and performance by using our creative PE programme. Assessment of our Key Stage 3 pupils is done using the Create Development Wheel. This is a unique online Assessment for Learning programme which accelerates the development of the learner and evidences rapid sustained progress. It is the tool for accelerating learning, providing learners with access to every step of their learning journey and a visual record of exactly where they are and where they need to go next.
