Sixth Form Admissions 

Timetable for Admissions

From 9th April 2018 - conditional offers will be sent to both internal and external students via email and post.

By Friday 27th April 2018 - return your reply slip to let us know you wish to accept your condtional offer.

Wednesday 4th July 2018 - Taster Day - further information will be sent in due course to students who have accepted their condtional offer.

Thursday 23rd August 2018 - GCSE results day - places in year 12 confirmed.

September 2018 - Enrolment into year 12

Entry Requirements

To be eligible to enter the sixth form, both internal and external students will be expected to have met the minimum academic entry requirements as follows:

We will be looking for GCSE grades 6, 6, 5, 5, 5 and a 4 in English Language or Literature.

Students are required to have a grade 6 in any subject they wish to pursue at A level.

Students wishing to study science subjects must have at least a 6, 6 across Core and Additional Science.

Please refer to the specific entry requirements for individual subjects.

Late Applications 

The 6th Form on-line application form has now closed. If you would like to enter a late application, please email post16@bristolcathedral.org.uk with the following information:

- Student's name
- Reasons for late application (if there are any extenuating circumstances)
- Subjects requested.
You will then be sent an application form. The application will be treated as a 'late' application and priority will be given to applicants who applied on -time. However, some spaces after this may exist but a place cannot be guaranteed.
